Positions on the NSW & ACT State Management Team are highly sought after. Working closely with staff counterparts as well as the rest of the management team, these roles help influence the direction of Guiding in NSW & ACT.

State Membership Adviser

Policies and Procedures Committee Members

The Policies and Procedures Committee (PPRC) is seeking additional Committee Members. You'll be part of a Committee that ensures Girl Guides NSW & ACT has appropriate and current documentation to satisfy its governance and management responsibilities. Members should have have a sound knowledge of Guiding culture, be adept with Microsoft Word, and be available for daytime meetings.

Archives Assistant

The State Archives (located in the Guide Shop) is seeking a couple of volunteers to assist on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, 10am–2pm. Must be methodical, organised and have good computer skills.

Youth Leadership and Development Liaison

As part of the State Program Committee, you will support, advise and encourage youth leadership & development to all Youth Members as part of the Australian Guide Program.
Support the Junior Leader and Guide Helper programs, develop and lead a team to deliver FLY - Youth Leadership Training weekends, work with the state GAP Coordinator on the Girls' Advisory Panel....and many other exciting program opportunities with the State Program Team.

Advocacy Liasion

The Advocacy Liaison is responsible for facilitating the implementation of Girl Guides Australia (GGA) advocacy initiatives and facilitating advocacy initiatives that reflect the aims of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) statement on advocacy, as defined in their Advocacy Toolkit. View the position description here.
