Girl Guides NSW & ACT are taking action on appearance-related anxiety! Through an exciting new program entitled Free Being Me, Girl Guides NSW & ACT are empowering girls and young women to transform their lives and their communities by building and strengthening body confidence and boosting self-esteem.
The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) in partnership with Dove have created the Free Being Me curriculum: a learning program that will reach 3.5 million girls across the world by 2016. In partnership with Guiding's global network, Girl Guides in Australia are rolling out the Free Being Me curriculum.
Girl Guides NSW & ACT are part of this project, engaging our great Unit Leaders to deliver this remarkable learning journey to our youth Members and empowering them to participate fully in all aspects of their lives and live a life free of body related anxiety. The Free Being Me curriculum is for girls aged 7–14 years old.
