Ambassador Scheme

Girl Guides is about partnerships — of nations, of communities, of groups of women and girls, and of girls working together.

The Guide Ambassador Scheme is a partnership between prominent members of the community and Girl Guides NSW & ACT.

The aims of the Ambassador Scheme are to:

  • - Increase the profile of Guides NSW & ACT within government departments, other community service organisations, and the general public

  • - Secure well positioned persons within networks to speak on behalf of Guiding in a favourable manner.

A Guide Ambassador is a non-member of Girl Guides NSW & ACT, a male or female community member.  The Ambassador must be someone who has the opportunity, in working or social life, to speak positively about Guiding with people from different sectors of the community.

Girl Guides NSW & ACT currently has over 50 Ambassadors, all prominent members of their communities, who are willing to speak about Guiding in their capacity as leaders and work with Guides to promote our benefits to the wider community so that more people know about Guiding and make use of the opportunities it offers.
