Guide Values

When a girl becomes a Guide, she makes a Promise, which recognises that she is a member of a community and should have respect for herself and others.

The Guide Promise

I promise that I will do my best:
to do my duty to God, to serve the Queen and my country;
to help other people; and
to keep the Guide Law.

Guides emphasises the importance of living with a strong set of ethics and of following a code of behaviour based on these principles.

A Guide is kind to animals and respects all living things
A Guide is obedient
A Guides has courage and is cheerful in all difficulties
