GirlMade

2019 GirlMade theme is Leadership. 

In line with the World Thinking Day theme, the GirlMade Project 2019 encourages participants to explore the different ways to be a leader and develop the power to bring the change participants want to see in the world.

Who:

Pre-Junior Guides, Junior Guides, Guides, Senior Guides, Olaves, and Adult Members (New this year!) 

When:

Registrations are now open close Monday 1 July 2019

How GirlMade Works:

Create & submit your art work

  • Create your 2D art piece in time to submit for your regional exhibition (due by 1 July 2019) 
  • Submit artwork/s along with confirmation of registration to your Region collection point (Region dates and collection points to be announced). 
  • 66 top finalist from each Region will be sent to the State Exhibition to be held on Saturday 28 September.
  • The State Exhibition will be on display at RTS Tingira from 28 September - 10 October
  • The State Exhibition finalists will then hang in the State Office through 2019-2020, until the next GirlMade. 
  • Region Submission Dates & Locations

  • To be announced.
  • Each Region will have a specific date and locations to drop off your submitted artwork. Please ensure you have your printed confirmation of registration. 
  • Region Exhibition

  • Region exhibitions will be held between July and September 2019.
  • After submissions Regions will host Region Exhibitions between July and September 2019 and select a winner form all six participant categories - PJ, JG, Guides, SG, Olave, and Adult.
  • State Exhibition Selections

  • Participants will enter their artworks into their Region exhibition for Region judging.
  • Following the Region exhibitions, each Region will send six finalists (one per age category) to the State exhibition.
  • The State exhibition of the 66 Region finalist artworks will be held at  RTS Tingira on Saturday 28 September.
  • The six winning artworks will be hung in Glengarry House and other Girl Guides NSW & ACT venues throughout 2018- 2019 until the next GirlMade Project

    REGISTRATION & REFUND POLICY EVENTS:
    You must be a current Member of Girl Guides NSW & ACT in good financial standing to attend. Membership must be current before registering.
    Registrations close 3 weeks prior to event date, unless sold out prior.
    There are no name changes or refunds after registration close date.
    All refund requests must be submitted via email to eventsadmin@girlguides-nswact.org.au.
     
    REGISTRATION & REFUND POLICY COURSES:
    You must be a current Member of Girl Guides NSW & ACT in good financial standing to attend. Membership must be current before registering.
    Registrations close 4 weeks prior to Course date unless sold out prior.
    There are no name changes or refunds after the registration close date.
    Under certain circumstance, within the Courses Department, a transfer rather than a refund may be considered. Transfers will be to the next available equivalent course in the calendar year.
    All refund requests must be submitted via email to courses@girlguides-nswact.org.au
     
    REFUNDS
    All refunds must be requests via email. Refunds are not offered after the registration close date. However, refunds will be considered after the registration close date under extenuating circumstances (e.g. medical emergency or death in the family).

    CANCELLATIONS
    If an event is cancelled, registrants will be refunded. However, in the event of the cancellation of a fundraising event, ticket price will be refunded minus the amount of the donation included. If a course is cancelled attendees will be offered a transfer to another instance of the same course.
