If you are a Senior Guide or an Olave wanting more adventure in your life this is your time.

Don’t miss this event held every two years specifically for Senior Guides and Olaves. Moot is a lightweight camp for members age 14 – 30 to gather together, network and enjoy a fun and relaxing environment. Senior Guide Unit Leaders are also welcome to join. 

If you’ve ever been curious about the Olave Program and what is next for you in Guiding after Senior Guides or if you are an Olave who wants to share your experience with Senior Guides, this is the camp for you. It’s an opportunity to push yourself to new limits with some challenging outdoor activities, make new like minded friends, and explore your independence on a camp with peers.

There is to be no alcohol brought to this event or consumed over the weekend.

Weekend Schedule:

Friday
Arrival from 4pm
(Please let us know in your registration if you will be arriving after 10pm)
Set up camp and join in some casual drop in activities

Saturday Morning
Opening ceremony Adventurous activity of your choice, will run for approximately 3 hours:
Make sure you select your adventurous activity when you register and before you check out as you will not be able to return to select an item after you have completed your registration.

  • Beginners Mountain Biking ($28)
  • Abseiling ($44)
  • Foot Golf ($17)
  • Shopping in Leura (As much as you like to spend)
    Saturday Afternoon
  • Explore the Three Sisters Echo Point:
  • Three Sisters Walk
  • Scenic World (optional, entry cost at own expense)
  • Afternoon tea picnic
  • 3:50pm - Meet back at Echo Point for Guides Own
    Saturday Evening
    Dinner and campfire

    Wide Games
    Sunday Afternoon
    Service Project (more information coming soon)
    3pm - Camp ends everyone can head home

    Registration & Refund Policy Courses:

    You must be a current Member of Girl Guides NSW & ACT in good financial standing to attend. Please make sure your membership is current before registering and have your membership number available to sign up online. 

    Registrations close: 5pm Friday 1 November 2019, unless event is filled prior to this date.

    No name changes, refunds or transfers after Friday 1 November 2019.

    All refund requests must be submitted via email to events@girlguides-nswact.org.au and will only be processed under extenuating circumstances.

    It starts with a beginner friendly 5m high cliff where the instructors explain the techniques and support/encourage the students. With instructors explaining each step, you finish on a thrilling 15m high cliff.

    Explore over 50 acres of trails through parklands where you can get your heart racing or take a leisurely ride. A safe and secure location to learn some basic bike skills from our staff or race around the course.

    A unique blend of soccer and golf. Played with a soccer ball on a golf course. The goal? Get the ball in the hole with fewest strokes (kicks) possible.

    Come on a magnificent walk in the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage area. With stunning scenery, astounding landforms, historical sites, unique wildlife and interesting vegetation, your guide will share local secrets and interpret the unique environment for you.

    Enjoy horse riding, driving a sulky, mountain trail riding, even learn to ride while at the same time you can absorb the peace and quiet offered by this valley. Soak up the atmosphere, breathe the 'fresh air', see our wildlife and fantastic mountain views.

    Under certain circumstance, within the Courses Department, a transfer rather than a refund may be considered. Transfers will be to the next available equivalent course in the calendar year.

    REFUNDS
    All refunds must be requests via email. Refunds are not offered after the registration close date. However, refunds will be considered after the registration close date under extenuating circumstances (e.g. medical emergency or death in the family).

    CANCELLATIONS
    If an event is cancelled, registrants will be refunded. However, in the event of the cancellation of a fundraising event, ticket price will be refunded minus the amount of the donation included. If a course is cancelled attendees will be offered a transfer to another instance of the same course.
