GirlMade State Exhibition: On now!

03 OCTOBER 2019

The GirlMade State Exhibition opened on Saturday 28 September at RTS Tingira, where family and friends gathered to see the Regional finalists artworks with the theme voted by girls: Leadership.

The GirlMade project was first established in 2014, and developed in response to girls requesting more creative options be made available to them at Guides during a 2013 Youth Forum. Proof that GirlMade is Girl led!
It is a fantasic opportunity to showcase the diverse creative and artistic talents of girls and women of Girl Guides NSW & ACT.

GirlMade Program Coordinator, Kerrey Williams, presented prizes to the State Winners, along with our State Commissioner Sarah Neill.

Members pondered the notion of Leadership and were asked to consider what Leadership meant to them and what makes it an important part of their lives said Kerrey Williams

Guest speaker Renée Bianchi gave an inspirational and personal account of her Leadership experience throughout her Guiding years,  including her valuable participation in the Juliette Low Seminar in Mexico.

A huge thank you to our Friends of Tingira for all their support in the lead up to the State Exhibition, and their help on the day! It was a wonderful success. The exhibition is open now and runs throughout the school holidays, go to RTS Tingira, 51 Dorking Rd Cabarita, until Saturday 12 October from 11am – 4pm (most days).
