RTS Tingira Turns 50

03 OCTOBER 2019

Thank you to all those who attended RTS Tingira on Saturday 26 October to celebrate an amazing milestone, 50 years of boating.

Around 80 people attended the momentous occasion despite the windy conditions. The event gave the opportunity for past, present and future Girl Guide Members and RTS Tingira volunteers to come together, enjoy some time out on the water, sharing fond memories of their time at RTS Tingira over afternoon tea and look towards the future for this spectacular water property.

The official ceremony included a colour party from the young leaders and supporters of Tingira, a reflection of 50 years of RTS Tingira by Margaret Coleman and special speech from Sue Conde of her time as a Ranger.

Australian Chief Commissioner and original member of Friends of Tingira, Rosemary Derwin also spoke of her memorable times at RTS Tingira and did the honour of cutting the celebratory cake.

Thank you to all those who assisted with the boating activities, the Official Ceremony and catering on the day.

A big thank you to the RTS Tingira Committee and Friends of Tingira for bringing this event together and their ongoing support of RTS Tingira. The property wouldn’t be as beautiful as it is without all their hard work.
