Expressions of Interest: RAP Working Group
CLOSING DATE 31 OCTOBER 2019
Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT is committed to being an inclusive organisation. We want everyone in our community to feel seen and celebrated, and to be treated with the utmost respect.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander recognition and reconciliation is a vital part of our inclusivity. Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT is preparing to develop a Reconciliation Statement of Intent. From here we will work with Reconciliation Australia to implement our reconciliation process.
Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT are calling for expressions of interest from suitable individuals, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and all ethnicities, to form a RAP Working Group (RWG).
Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT are starting their reconciliation journey and will develop a Reflect RAP in accordance with Reconciliation Australia’s Reflect framework. Organisations must establish an RWG to further the acknowledgement and reconciliation of Indigenous people in the organisation.
Candidates for the RWG must be willing and able to commit to a minimum twelve-month timeframe to oversee the development of a Reflect RAP for the operations arm of the Association.
The RWG will help Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT lay the foundations for reconciliation and prepare for future RAPs and reconciliation initiatives.
To achieve this objective the RAP Working Group must be committed to:
- scoping and reflecting on how Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT can contribute to reconciliation.
- building an understanding of Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders and sphere of influence.
Expressions of interest may be submitted by filling out the form, below, prior to the EOI close date, 31 October 2019.
