An alpine adventure playground for every member of the family, 200 m from the shores of Lake Jindabyne and a stroll to town's centre, Araluen is the perfect place to book and stay for autumnal alpine adventure, the 2022 Ski Season, serene spring sojurns and cooler summer stays. The guidelines and health advice set out by the NSW Government have been diligently reviewed, and our local cleaners ensure Araluen maintains an even higher standard of Cleaning.

In the heart of Jindabyne, just 200m from the shores of Lake Jindabyne, Araluen Lodge is a perfect getaway for families, groups and organisations. It is the ideal location for winter ski trips and a great base for summer trekking in the Australian high country.

Araluen acts as a base camp for the many great activities available in the region. Of course, it is the Snowy Mountains and Charlotte’s Pass that are the great winter drawcards in the area, offering an abundance of skiing, snowboarding and alpine trekking


Araluen sleeps 43 people in total across a range of dorms and smaller bedrooms. All beds are supplied with pillows and blankets, just bring your own linen and towels.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with industrial dishwasher and gas oven adjacent to a large dining and recreation area.

The Lodge also has an equipment/ski room for easy storage and drying of sports gear.


There is a room suitable for disabled access or separate coach driver accommodation.

There is a large fireplace stocked with fire wood. Digital TV and DVD player are available

There is parking for a coach or alternatively two car spaces. Additional parking is available across the road, just inquire when booking for instructions


In the winter snow season, Araluen Lodge books out early due to its popularity with skiers and snowboarders. In summer, it’s a nature-lover’s paradise—there’s a huge network of trails that can be accessed through the National Parks Centre in the middle of Jindabyne.
Other activities available in the warmer months include mountain biking, abseiling, kayaking and canoeing. Several local companies provide horse-riding adventures, caving, rock-climbing trout fishing, abseiling, fly fishing, trail biking, sailing etc
